Former Senator Doug Jones to hold
Town Hall 'Community Dialogue' in Anniston

Have you seen the newest billboard? It looks GREAT and is in a GREAT location! See the billboard on the bypass just beyond the Life Worship Center, 1604 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, AL 36207. You'll see it facing the southbound lane. It looks SPECTACULAR any time of day or night! If you have a few minutes, pull over and watch for ALL THREE of our ads!
Senator Jones spoke to a capacity crowd at Hubbard’s in Oxford back in June – and he challenged everyone there! He said he’d come back in the fall….. IF every one of us would bring 2 people who didn’t necessarily ‘think like us’ to the gathering. I believe just about everybody in the room raised their hand saying they COULD and WOULD do that. It’s time 😊
“Don’t just invite friends, invite the community. All politics is personal. We need to not only talk to people, we need to listen to people, and we need to listen to their fears and concerns,” Jones said.
We need to persuade independent voters and voters who don’t go to the polls every time they open - to get involved. “Where the rubber meets the road, and this has been true of the Democrats for a long time, is at the local level,” Jones said.
“We have got to strengthen our counties. We’ve got to strengthen our local clubs.
Look, it would be wonderful to win statewide elections. Don’t get me wrong. But it’s also going to be wonderful to just be competitive statewide if we can do it. But where we really must focus, ruthlessly focus, is on some of our House and Senate districts where we’ve got a chance to win. Democrats have got to focus on breaking the supermajority in this legislature so that they can really have an effective voice.” Excerpts taken from https://www.alreporter.com/2025/05/09/alabama-dems-hope-to-use-trump-algop-failures-to-build-momentum-in-2026/
