Former Congressman John Lewis left us instructions for hope and healing

The brief essay that Representative John Lewis sent to the New York Times two days before his death — was published on the occasion of his funeral — and expressed the hope for national healing and reconciliation that guided his life’s work.

Then join like minded people and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Congressman John Lewis on Thursday, July 17th at the CalCoDem HQ, The Jim & Shirley Justice Center at 5 pm. Refreshments will be served - please feel free to bring something. The documentary John Lewis: Good Trouble will be shown at 6:30. The film explores the Georgia representative's, 60-plus years of social activism and legislative action on civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform, and immigration.
