Calhoun County lost a true leader in the passing of TJ Sudduth

The Calhoun County Democrats have lost a wonderful friend and worker with the recent passing of TJ Sudduth. There was never a time when TJ was asked to do a particular job that he didn’t happily start to work.

TJ was the Vice Chair of Minority Affairs for the Calhoun County Democrats and masterfully handled all the details needed to strengthen the cause.

As our Chair, Sheila Gilbert, states, she first met TJ in the early 70’s when working on a state legislative campaign and TJ was her UniServ Director for the Alabama Education Association. “It was at that time that I saw how totally dedicated TJ was to winning that election and many more after that..”

Heaven has gained a wonderful person who left his mark of kindness, courtesy, and dedication behind. The Calhoun County Democrats extend our heartfelt sympathy to his wife, Sandra Fox-Sudduth also one of our valuable members, and their children Tim and Traci along with the rest of the family members.
