Up first at 6 pm is our annual THANKSGIVING DINNER! HQ is providing the meat, dressing, gravy, rolls, tea

WHO CAN RESIST A GOOD THANKSGIVING MEAL?
Especially an ‘early’ one! Join Calhoun County Democrats on Thursday, November 20th at 6 pm at the Jim & Shirley Justice Center, 812 Noble Street in Anniston. Bring a favorite dish to share with others if you can.  If you can't bring something this time - come anyway – there’s ALWAYS plenty of food! Dinner will be followed by our speaker, Democratic candidate for Alabama Secretary of State, Wayne Rogers.
Up second about 6:45 pm is our speaker - WAYNE ROGERS! Wayne is the Democratic candidate for Alabama Secretary of State.
WOW!! What a positive difference he could make! Meet Wayne!

Meet Wayne! Wayne Rogers, a Thomasville, Alabama native, rose from humble beginnings to become a respected attorney and Democratic leader. After surviving a traumatic bank robbery shortly after high school, he pursued a legal career inspired by that experience, earning degrees from Samford University and Cumberland School of Law. His career spans public service as a federal prosecutor, two decades in private practice, and leadership roles in mental health advocacy and law enforcement training. A committed political organizer, Rogers has led major Democratic victories in Jefferson County and is now running for Secretary of State with a steadfast commitment to safeguarding fair elections—protecting voter access, ensuring election integrity, and promoting transparent and trustworthy democratic processes. Up third is DON'T forget to bring non-perishable food items for the ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE! We've been asking for several weeks and have received very little in the way of donations :(

Please bring your donation to the Jim & Shirley Justice Center, 812 Noble Street, Anniston on Wednesday, 19 November from 10 am til 4 pm or to the November meeting & dinner on 20 November, same location at 6 pm.
This year has been more difficult than usual for 'the the least of these.' The lower wage earners working more than 1 job to make ends meet; the people who experience food shortages due to the TRUMP administration's deep budget cuts (SNAP) aimed at the elderly, disabled and children; and high prices due to the TRUMP tariffs being felt by all.
Thanks to all - for everything you do from the Calhoun County Democrats & Executive Committee Members and our great volunteers who are ALWAYS there for everyone! This list is NOT meant to be 'all inclusive' - just the 'usual suspects' who hang around a LOT :)
