Meet Wayne.
Wayne Rogers, a Thomasville, Alabama native, who rose from humble beginnings to become a respected attorney and Democratic leader. After surviving a traumatic bank robbery shortly after high school, he pursued a legal career inspired by that experience, earning degrees from Samford University and Cumberland School of Law. His career spans public service as a federal prosecutor, two decades in private practice, and leadership roles in mental health advocacy and law enforcement training. A committed political organizer, Rogers has led major Democratic victories in Jefferson County and is now running for Secretary of State with a steadfast commitment to safeguarding fair elections—protecting voter access, ensuring election integrity, and promoting transparent and trustworthy democratic processes.

MEET DEBRA
Debra Foster is a lifelong Anniston community leader and realtor, who has dedicated her life to serving others and strengthening her community. She made history as the first African American woman elected to the Anniston City Council and the first African American to serve as Vice Mayor of the City of Anniston.
Debra has spent decades working to improve quality of life for families across Calhoun County. Her leadership includes service on numerous civic and community boards, including the Calhoun County Economic Development Council, the Anniston Zoning Board, the HCACA Hospital Board, and the Executive Committee of the Calhoun County Democrats. She was also involved in community organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Calhoun County, Quality of Life Health Services, and the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials.
A dedicated woman of faith, Debra is an active member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she serves as Chairperson of the Trustee Board and Chairperson of the G. E. Smitherman Scholarship Committee.

Midterm elections do not get as much attention as presidential elections because fewer voters participate and the top executive office is not on the ballot.
Why Midterms Still Matter
Congressional Control: Voters decide who controls the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, which determines a president's ability to pass laws.
Higher Individual Impact: Lower overall turnout means each individual vote carries more mathematical weight in shaping community policies.
