February CalCoDem Meeting and Dinner

BLACK HISTORY MONTH will be highlighted at the February 15th, CalCoDem meeting.
Vernon Presley, Vice Chair of the Calhoun County Democratic Committee, will preside over the meeting.

Hobson City Mayor Alberta McCrory will be our guest speaker. "Welcome to Hobson City, a historic town in the State of Alabama. We’re known for our beautiful countryside, historic school, great hospitality, exciting community and much more. Our town is steeped in history and culture. Throughout the year, we host many exciting events that are open to the general public. Our town is filled with friendly people and a local government that welcome you to visit anytime. This is my hometown and I am honored and proud to be your neighbor, and your Mayor."

Jason Wright will sing the 'Black National Anthem', Lift Every Voice and Sing. Jason is well known in the community and people clamor for the opportunity to hear him perform. He graduated from JSU with a BFA in Art in 2009 followed by an MA in Liberal Studies in 2012 and an MFA in Visual Communication Design in 2017. Wright has recently accepted membership to the Board of Advocates for the College of Arts and Humanities.
