Anniston, AL is a destination stop for the 1000 Miles to Memphis March. Join us to support the walkers and the cause on Friday, 7 August, at 2 pm, CalCoDem HQ, 812 Noble Street, Anniston, AL.
The 36-day, 1000-mile march from Nashville to Memphis aims to register 100,000 voters and raise funds for voting rights. The march will spotlight grassroots organizations in the Deep South combating voter suppression.

The marchers are interested in meeting local activists and organizers and are excited to be able to meet at the Jim & Shirley Justice Center, home of the Calhoun County Democrats. Join us in supporting their heroic efforts! Can we gather a REALLY large crowd to show our appreciation?
"Participants will walk through Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas, ending at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. The initiative emphasizes that the South is "not red, voter suppressed," highlighting the impact of voter suppression on Black and Brown communities. #VotingRights #DeepSouth #VoterRegistration #Memphis"
